CLASSROOM SHOUT OUT
SHOUT OUT to these 8th Graders for their creative Facebook profiles over cell organelles. These students always seem to put in a little more effort on their work and they have earned my SHOUT OUT this week!
(Destiny Birth, Audrey Chester, Kellie Smith, & Kayden Anderson)
SHOUT OUT to Xavin & Fysher for their parachute design during the egg drop this week. They had the only egg that didn’t crack and survived two high drops! Great job boys!
SHOUT OUT to 7th Grader Lynsdie Christie for winning all three categories with her balloon car! She built the fastest, best looking car that could travel the farthest distance!
Special SHOUT OUT to my last hour STEM kids! They are learning the ins and outs of critical thinking while engineering cars using different power sources! They have used gravity & rubber band powered cars so far. Future plans include propeller and air powered cars!
This week’s SHOUT OUT goes to my STEAM class! This has been our biggest feat in engineering yet! They DID not give up despite many discouraging days of structural problems. The teepee is built from newspapers and paper plates! I’m proud of how they finally came together with many revisions to make it work! We learned about the evolution of teepees, traditions, symbols, and decorations of many Native Americans through the years.
