Nine Vian students were selected to perform in this year’s Eastern District Honor Choirs. Area students auditioned on Sept. 21st and spent countless hours learning their parts. The day of the concert, students spent the day practicing together and then performing that evening. More than 20 local schools competed with approximately 250 students being selected for the combined three choirs, which are divided by grade level. Emily Foster and Jessica Lamb were selected for the high school choir. Katie Moore was selected for the junior high choir and Cadence Barnhill, Zayley Cheater, Tyne Couch, Ayden Crittenden, Kathlene Kosterlitzky, and Rayken Massey were selected for the middle school choir. Vian choir director is Mrs. Peggy Shelby. The concert was held on October 15th at the Boulevard Christian Church in Muskogee.
