We attend proffesional deveopment each year to help us better meet the needs of every student.
I started my career at VPS in 2009. I teach special education for grades PK-8.
My teaching career probably started a little different than most, I was a corporate trainer and later a senior corporate trainer at Tyson Foods. I facilitated leadership and management courses for all levels of management. My team developed a new corpoarate orientation and helped plant location trainers use best practices to teach new team members.
For a short time I was also training manager at Cherokee Nation Industries doing many of the same things.
These experiences have enriched my teaching tool box to better collaborate with other teachers and administrators to better serve our students.
I continue to attend proffesional development to hone my craft and I am a member of the new Oklahoma Special Education Consortium.
I have one son, Cruz who is a Wolverine SENIOR this year. He wrestles for the Wolverines as well as competing in Freestyle and Greco.
We have 3 dogs- Lucky, Woodrow, and Alpha Dog. Our property is guarded from varmits by some semi tame cats: Johnny Bravo, Garbage/Bandit, and Sprinkles. We also have a neighbor dog who visits from time to time we call LuLu.
We attend Blackgum First Baptist Church Sundays at 10:45 and Wednesday at 6pm but I am always late.
I really enjoy tv sitcoms more than I should. Parks and Rec, The Office, Seinfeld, Fraiser, Freinds, as well as some of the really old ones.
I have various intrests but my main hobby is watching Cruz wrestle.
