I graduated from Tahlequah High School in the 1970”s.
After working at a couple of jobs, I entered college in 1989.
I graduated in 1993 with a degree in education from Northeastern State University.

After graduating from college, I substituted in the Tahlequah and Muskogee schools for two years. This is where I learned that I enjoyed the high school environment.
I took a position with a preschool for two years in Tahlequah, but had a desire to teacher older students.
After receiving a phone call from Poteau Pansy Kidd Middle School, I choose to leave preschool to teach at the middle school level. I taught there for one year when I receive a phone call from Vian High School. Wanting to teach at the high school level, I left Pansy Kidd Middle School to teach at Vian High School.
I came to Vian High School August 2000 and hope to finish my career here at Vian High School.
I married during my senior year of high school. My husband and I have been married for 42 years. This union has resulted in 3 children. I have 2 sons and 1 daughter. Additionally, we have 3 grandchildren. Our oldest granddaughter is currently in college in Weatherford pursuing a degree in Pharmacy. Our grandson currently is in 8th grade at Tahlequah Midddle School. Our youngest granddaughter is attending Keys Public School. and is in the 5th grade.
