I graduated from Central High School in 1989, which is a small rural school located NE of Sallisaw.
After graduation from high school I attended Westark (UFAS) for one year. I then transferred to Haskell Indian Nations University (HINU) in Lawerence, KS and studied Accounting. I graduated from there with an associates in Accounting. While there I played basketball for the Lady Indians. After receiving my Associates from HINU I then attended Northeastern State University (NSU) in Tahlequah, OK where I earned my BSED in Early Childhood Education.
I have an Associates in Accounting from HINU and a BSED in Early Childhood Education from NSU.
I began teaching here at Vian in 1997. I taught first grade for the first year, then Pre-K for a few years and then Kindergarten. Kindergarten is my favorite of all 3.
After receiving my BSED from NSU, I taught ½ year for Headstart in Hitchta, OK. Then I moved to Wills Point, TX and taught Kindergarten there for 2 years.
I am married to Tommy Wright who teaches Technology Education here at Vian in the Middle School. We have 2 boys who attend Vian Public Schools.
My husband and I own Wright-Way Auctions, so during the summer and on the weekends we have auctions for different people who need help getting selling their items, whether it be household or farm.
