Elementary Principal and School Psychometrist
I have attended Vian Public School since Kindergarten. I graduated from here, I taught here, and now I’m honored to be the principal here. My children are the 4th generation of my family to graduate from Vian. My education started here and I’m still learning.
I have always wanted to be a teacher. I began my career in 1993 at Harvest Time Christian School in Ft. Smith, AR. I taught 2nd grade there for seven years. I returned home to Vian in the fall of 2000. I taught in 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade before becoming the Elementary Principal in 2011.
My husband and I were married in 1999. We have three children and one granddaughter.
When I’m not at work, Curtis and I are doing something with our family, like cooking big dinners and enjoying a fire outside at night, playing golf, or going on walks together. When I have time to myself, my favorite thing to do is to sit on my back porch with a book and enjoy the peaceful view that you see in this picture. Vian is a beautiful place and I feel blessed to live here.
