In 2015, I made the change from a Gore Pirate to a Vian Wolverine. 2015 marked the fourth year teaching high school mathematics (Geometry, Algebra 2, and Algebra 3). Currently, I am teaching Algebra 2 and Computers 2.
In 2003, I began substitute teaching at the elementary, middle, and high schools for Gore Public Schools (GPS), while pursuing my Oklahoma teaching certificate, and stayed at that position until November of 2004. From November 2004 to May of 2005, I finished the school year as a certified teacher at Braggs Public Schools teaching various science classes. The 2005-2006 school year found me hired as a middle school mathematics teacher at GPS, teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade mathematics, until August of 2012, when I was transfered to high school mathematics. From 2012 until May of 2015, I taught Geometry, Algebra 2, and Algebra 3 at GPS before going to Vian High School to teach Algebra2 and Comuters 2.
I am married to my Soul Mate, Brian Batesole since August of 1990. Wanting to be out of the city and live in the country, we moved to Gore, Oklahoma from Orange County, Califorinia, September 1, 1995. Brian works for ODHS Developmentally Disabled Services as a Case Manager II. We have two wonderful children, Noah and Gracie. Noah graduated as an honor student from Gore High School in 2015. He was a cadet member of the Civil Air Patrol (Muskogee Night Hawks Squadron) for three years and earned the Billy Mitchel Award which earned him the rank of Second Leutenent. Currently, Noah is an Airman First Class where he is part of the Security Forces in the 341 Missle Wing at Malmstrom Airforce Base, in Great Falls Montana. Gracie is a Giffted and Talented, honor student and senior at Gore High School. She is the Class President; Captain of the Color Guard and percussionist for the Gore Band of Pirates; fourth year member of FCCLA; and the Yearbook Editor-in-Chief.
I am the owner of Cal2Homa Christmas Tree and Mum farm where we specialize in You-Pick Blueberries, Fall Garden Mums, and Christmas Trees. My husband has graciously indulged my need to grow things with much grace, and sweat, over the last 21 years! The farm affords me the opportunity to be in nature and to satifiy my love of all things green and colorful! Also, we share our farm with many creatures (a mini-horse, goats, cats, and dogs) which Gracie and myself are mostly responsible for acquiring! Many of which are in the petting zoo during the selling seasons.
